What a beautiful location this is. In November 2007 I was able to visit this area near Moab Utah and do some 9x12 plein air studies. There just wasn't enough time to do many paintings in this area, so I took many photographs and decided to paint this image. What gravitated me most to this composition was the strong lighting on the near rock wall and the atmospheric distance in the scene. Berry
