An artist residing in Salt Lake City, Utah with vast vistas in the state awaiting my interpretation with oil. Originally my thrust into creating visual arts was as a photographer with many accolades and exhibits. Currently my work medium has changed towards oil painting. In the past I was able to hike and camp and enjoy the outdoors more. At the age of 42 in 1999, I left my full time job to pursue a Degree in Graphic Design & Illustration. Immediately I fell in love with oil painting and have followed a new path towards oil panting. Because of a genetic disposition I am on oxygen full time and even though I'm not physically active in the outdoors I venture outdoors to paint, usually not far from the car.

Nature and the landscape provides a continual source of inspiration to me and allow me to reminisce from my earlier days. Usually my paintings require 1-3 hours to their finish. I also include whatever is in the landscape including buildings, and man made objects. I enjoy being outdoors creating a painting, while allowing my emotions and feelings to be put into my paintings.
I am able to absorb more of a scene because of the time that is involved in creating an oil painting on site while being influenced by the smell around me, the taste of the air, temperature, and sound of my surroundings. I hope to invoke the emotions of others that are viewing my paintings, bringing past or current memories from within themselves and putting themselves in my paintings as they remember their past and enjoy the artwork.

It is my hope that you enjoy my creative artwork, and that the paintings invoke an emotional  response within you that I also felt at the time.
